Just off the truck, another great vintage Gibson interpretation by the guys at Rockbridge. The venerable slope D body shape gives plenty of volume and punch, and the vintage style dark burst gives this one mojo before it ever receives its first scratch. As is typical of Rockbridge guitars, this fine instrument features a well-balanced tone with strong note separation and thickness throughout the mids and trebles, with a touch of Gibson rasp. The rounded, slightly slimmed neck profile feels great, and the simple appointments on this one give it the perfect understated elegance. The last one I ordered was the same specs and it sold quickly and was a big hit with the new owner. My personal Rockbridge is up next, a similar Slope D with wild quilt sapele instead of Honduran Mahogany. This is definitely the hottest Rockbridge model, and when you see and play it for the first time, I think you'll understand why.
