The snow is falling, the ground is white, the whole family is at home enjoying our cozy warm house. If we had a fireplace, we'd all be sitting around it knitting sweaters and roasting Vitamin C tablets. Of course, this is ignoring the other glaring reality that we're all shivering to death, running 100 degree fevers, sniffling, coughing, and enduring sick kid's endless whining. And to make matters worse, we had this junk a week and a half ago, we were all seemingly back to normal, and it started in for round 2. Ugh!
Even if we did finally get much needed baths and showers, we're not looking very photogenic. Sorry no new pictures.

If you tell me why and it fits in with what I believe to be true about the world, then I will obey about anything you say. If you don't tell me why, I'll likely sluff it off thinking it probably doesn't matter or it's not very important. Here's what reminded me of my quirk:
I've finally gotten around to trying to make a homemade pie crust. The directions all say use chilled butter, cold utensils, ice water, refridgerate the dough before you roll it, blah, blah, blah, it can't matter that much. And maybe it doesn't, but then I ran across another set of instructions that says, if everything is cold, it will keep the interaction of the fats in the shortening and gluten in the flour to a minimum, thus creating a more flaky crust. Ah ha! Now I'll be opening the windows, letting in the snow flakes, chilling my whole kitchen just to be safe! You've convinced me because you told me why. Are we all like this or am I just special?
