We took a trip to the library today and Annika thought we had gone to the playground. There was so much to explore! She zipped over to the computer and was so thrilled to find it just her size that she kept walking around and patting it. We spent at least 5 minutes patting the computer and even then I had to take her away. After all, I did go to get books! She chatted briefly with Grandma on the "Dial a story" telephone before crossing paths with a stuffed unicorn, which she hugged. The famous beads on a wire toy was worth a spin, the big animal puzzle got a passing glance, and those super cool library step stools... so worthy of a squeal and a pat or two. We got very few books. I chased her up and down the library and tried to snatch a few things off the shelves (quietly) as we went. While I scanned a nearby shelf, Annika investigated the trash can. A librarian asked, "Is this someone's baby?" I thought, "Probably, but where is her mother?!" Who needs a children's museum or an excercise club when you can go to the library?

We're not doing so well with cute pictures these days, you'll have to take what you can get. We're doing fine on teeth though with a grand total of 10. Two molars just came in... apparently they were in more of a hurry than the cuspids. Is that normal??

Just in case you were wondering, you CAN grind whole wheat flour in the blender. Just do a cup of wheat berries at a time. And you probably don't want to do large quantities without giving the motor a little rest. But, if you're so inclined, it can be done. Now I can make yummy bread with a little nutrition. I've been getting into sourdough again and am in the mood to experiment. I want to make a whole wheat sourdough with flax, millet, and sunflower seeds. Yum.

Annika and I had a nice trip to MN. We surprised Grandma for her big birthday (a week late). She's 50! I guess that's why there haven't been many posts, we've been gone a lot. Nothing really new besides our roof, so you can go look at that on the house page if you care to.
